normal idle when cold? what you guys think?
in new york weather 38 deg. just did a head gasket, new spark plugs, car hasnt been started in about 2 months, i started it up sounds ok so far, only let it run for about 30-40 sec then kinda got shook cause it was idling high, it was idling at like 3300-3600. is that normal, i have no check engine light on so all the sensors are working properly...what you guys think?
its about normal since it hasn't been driven for about 2 months, and in cold weather. When the car is completely warmed up, does it idle at 800-1000? When I start up my car for the 1st time during the day it idles at 2500 rpm, then drops down to 800
i havent even let it warm up yet, i got shook alittle shook when i saw the idle jump that high, since its cold i didnt want to damaged any valves or anything, i know the timing is right im just nervous cause i dumped too much money into this car to have it blow up lol...
