I was wondering about retrofiting some Lexus H.I.D's into my EF. But I was wondering how or from what car do I pull some projectors from to have them fit into hour 9006 Housing.


1. How to put projectors into stock housing's?

2. What car to pull projectors from to make them fit into stock housing's?

Or does having projectors have benifits over using stock housings for H.I.D's?

ive never seen anyone do a retrofit into the stock housings on a 88-91. But i would assume someone has done it before, just give it a shot and show us how it turns out!

It should turn out better than stock housings since they give off a butt load of glade, i know personally, i have hid's in my stock housing and they give off tons of glare. But i have had them in for 2 years and havennt been pulled over, and haven't had anyone flash their hi-beams at me.

 

i wanna do this too, i figure getting some hids from a tl or something and retrofit the projector lense into the 88-91 headlamp... give it a try and let us know, post pics etc please!

Do you guys have retrofited H.I.D's or those $300 H.I.D kits?

Cuz i wanted to get a 12000k HID kit. It doesnt put out any more light then the 6000k its just i want the purple color. And i dont mean the purple cutoff. YOu dont see cutoff with the $300 H.I.D kits. Only on Retrofit Stock H.I.D's.

Yes ive already browsed around there. But im not going to look through 30 pages just to find one person post up and EF with HID retro fit projectors

Actually 6000k will put out more light then the 12000k, the lower the number the more light otuput it will have.
