it is a license plate bracket that angles the plate downwards. I guess maybe it could be for better airflow or soething. just stupid I think

someone once told me or i read somewhere that they do that cause they have the photo enforced traffic lights and they can't get a picture of the plate, i dont know

I believe its so that the photo radar doesn't catch the Wangan speed racers by photographing their plates....wow, and to think, I thought the U.S. had strict highway laws....jeez, the japanese got photo radar..go figure.

I've seen it done several time here in the US years ago. Its not just a strictly Japan thing, who knows who created it and where it came from.

there is photo radar in some parts of the US...

I know washington DC has it.

you can see those on jdm drifto video. and ya about 3-4% let air in under there. better than block air
