How do I figure out what why it's on? Isn't there some way to hook a led to some part of the car and count how many time it blinks? I did a search and couldn't find what I'm looking for. Little help?

Also are there some common causes for this that I could check first?

 

Take your car to autozone or advance auto parts and they should pull the code free. I forget wich one it is, Autozone stands out though.

 

Ross (MooGoCow3) is correct, DeathZone Auto Parts will interogate the ECM and pull whatever codes are stored. It should be a four (4) digit number preceeded by a "P"
