Default h22 type s tranny

first question, whats the engine code on a type s ? still h22a ? and if so how can you tell youre buying a type s block besides the tranny code...what if somone was selling a jdm h22 with a red valve cover... and whats the tranny code on a type s tranny? please dont say search cause that **** more unpredictable then a woman on her period and hardly ever works for me.... thanks!

ya i know, everyone 97+ motor/tranny came with atts they got rid of lsd, but whats the difference from limited slip diff. and auto torqe tention or whatever atts is lol...

no they didnt get rid of the LSD,
the atts tranny is the one in teh type-s and sh, its basically an electronically controled LSD type system, where it actively transfers power to teh wheel with the best traction. you do not want an ASST setup unless yur car came with itorinally.
and the tranyn codes are in teh FAQ as far as i know.

so should i just stik with a h22a jdm lsd tranny than? wouldent a type s tranny offer better gear ratios as well?

all 97+ have the same gear ratios. the type-s has ATTS, and will not work in a base model. but there is the accord euro-r and the japanese s-spec that cam with manual lsd transmissions, and will fit base models. if you want the 220 hp type-s motor you will have to do some modifying to get the transmission to bolt up and an adaptor plate to fit the intermediate shaft.

it really sounds like want the Euro-R tranny. That tranny has the best gear ratios.
the tranny code for that one is T2W4. soooo rare. if you find one... pick it up... ive seen the tranny alone go for 1500.00 on ebay. keep in mind that was brand new.
