i have a 06 accord lx 4dr... what parts from a tsx will fit .. .
exhaust??
brakes???rear brakes??
transmission??
shocks and springs???

 

not much will, as they are two very different chassis...you may be able to swap emblems with it if you really want...

 

but as far as in motor ... they are the same jsut tuned down ... right ?

in a very obscured sense, yes. the tsx has a totally different head than the accord, thus the 40hp increase. the blocks are the same, but the tsx has lighter/better internals, as well.

 

not possible to swap the TSX head to a 7th gen accord? (I'm assuming all TSX have the same model head because they're only is one generation)

 

It is possible, it's like the old CRVtec head swap, but you'd have to take it tos omeone specialized, like someone HASPORT recommends. They have a K24 hybrid.

The most common K hybrid is an RSX head on the TSX block, which I dont think does much but to each their own.

 

I think the biggest thing to deal with in the head swap was drive by wire but I believe that even the 4 cyl Accord have DBW in 06.

 

I hate DBW. Hopefully it can be cleared up (retrofit or some good tuning program to mess with throttle response)

 

Compressions ratios are also different between the two engines. TSX is 10.5:1, Accord is 9.7:1. The difference is mostly due to different pistons.

You can also swap a K20A2 (RSX-S) head and avoid the DBW issues.

 

the whole TSX engine will fit in the 7G accord, it's been done already.

 

How could I go about getting the head? how much would it cost to have it installed? Can you point me towards a thread where it has been done?

Youd have to swap in the tranny or one from the RSX as well, since the Accord tranny is more of a fuel economy thing and 6 gears are better than 5

For manual probably, for auto the two trannies are very similar.
