so heres what it is....i keep having the 41 cel come up with my car...it is the o2 sensor heater or whatever....and i have changed it 3 times...(used ones but worked in previous car) and still have the code coming up...now i just did a motor swap and the wires for the o2 had to be extended and my buddy made them a little to long and then wires fell on the muffler and melted all the coating off of most of the wires...

could they have touched and fried something in the ecu?

 

o2 heats oxygen sensor so it can get into closed loop sooner, there should be a certain amperage amt going through that wire. i would check that first. also i would check the resistance in all the wires, also it couldhave fried something in pcm but doubtful

 

yeah i was plannin on checking the the amperage in the wires tomorrow just wanted to see if i was going to be wasting my time or not....thanks man
