hey this car was hacked up when i got it, its not my car just doin a repair job. well the harness was hacked, well the inside harness was fixed and converted for mpfi and everything is right, no codes , firing on all four cylinders and fuel all the grounds are good, switched injectors, resistor box, checked all fuses and tried another ecu, this engine came out of a running car... i did not personally do it, i get stuck fixing hack jobs. well anyone got any suggestions on what to check for, oh yea new dizzy, he said he put a new fuel pump in and the car has been under water. ps new harness made from dx harness, 2nd one i have done and its all correct checked it several times, and the timing is right.
not but no backfiring just like one hit when u first try to start it.

 

plug wires in wrong order on the dizzy probably.

 

at the shop now, check and retried still nothing...

 

ok they had the tdc wires cut down deep in the harness and they were backwards it runs but has a miss , its code 16.

 

ok got a code 16 now, changed the injectors and resistor box, well i guess i got a wire bad somewhere but i have power for all 4 injectors...any ideas?

 

ok it was the pvc system hose off...damn hooked it up no check engine lights, found out really quick it has no brakes but still the car is supper quick...fun little swap.

 

ok now the car died again, no check engine lights, it was runnin like **** when u floored it, then we let it idle shut it off and wont' start back up, all it does is backfire, i have fuel and spark, and no codes, anyone got any ideas, note day before ran great no codes...now it won't start? any ideas...i hate this car

 

try a diff dizzy, or a ground came loose

 

we did relocate the battery to the rear... we had the car on the lift and it started fine, then we test drove it,well tried too and it was runnin like ****, so we turned it off and it never started again..but i do have spark and fuel...i checked the grounds but im movin the battery back to the front and try it again, and i have good compression across all 4. well anyone ran into this before?

its def. your grounds. my car would do the same thing on the lift but as soon as it hit the ground it would be ****.
