Good deal? $200 for a 88 CRX Si?
my friend is selling it becuase his parents want him to get rid of it. Its got some minor front left damage and but it got a nice smack on the right side. The reason im buying it, is my buddie has a 89 Civic 4dr DX auto and its slow as hell, and he wants some speed. The engine and tranny are perfect? Is this swap possible and is it worth getting?
dude, for $200, buy it, fix it, keep it!!!!
swapping a manual trans into an auto is not fun from what I've heard. I'd say keep the crx as a fun project car.

the only problem with the crx is that it would need mad body work. It is missing a door, the panels are all dented, and there are electrical problems. It would actually be easier to drop the engine into the DX then restore the crx. Plus, we want to go sleeper mode with the 89 DX.

Concentrate on the CRX IMO.
