Default ZC engine info

Hello,

Does anyone know of a reliable place where I can get a ZC engine for my 88 CRX si?? Also, has anyone heard of a rare ZC "G" engine? I heard it has a red valve cover and puts out about 160hp!! Thanks for you help.

"g" engine? NO.

Anyways.

Nippon Motors has good prices, but I don't know about quality.

I personaly would reccomend ARD performance. They will only sell you a well inspected engine, that HAS low miles on it.

I have had no problems with it.

I got mine at http://www.nippon-motors.com for $495 plus shipping (depends where you live and if you have a business address you can get it shipped to or not). I have no complaints, but I would suggest replacing the timing belt while the engine is out of the car. Mine broke, other than that I've had no problems with that engine. This is the only reference I've ever seen to the ZCG engine: http://hybrid.honda-perf.org/tech/engine.html

Hey, thanks for your help. I guess the ZC G engine is the same as the B16a but I wonder if it's a direct fit into the CRX without needing to swap out the tranny? Probably just wishfull thinking.

The ZC is the easiest motor to swap. It's basically like taking the old motor out, and putting it back in but with a little wiring.

Just use the correct parts and it should be even fun!!
This reason is my main defense against people who reccomend a B series swap.

Yeah it's a better overall motor, but when it comes down to it, IT'S JUST A LOT CHEEPER!!

I have zc engines but Im a bseries guy so I also have bseries engines as well. Let me know are you in northern md or close to va? I am in va and i can get you zc or zcg b16a with the zcg you will want a mount kit ( I have those 2)and a good ecu. I am in lynchburg va and would do the swap for you if you want. I sell my zc for $675 motor only but that is because my military buddys over in okinawa hand pick my motors before shipping to me an dI know they are good.holla back

http://www.nippon-motors.com

Thats where i got mine from, came clean, ran real good. The engine internally was in great shape, and the honda timing belt looked brand new. TPS was broken though, and so was the pallot that they sent. I paid 600 from them shiped to my friends work. I would recommend.

I got mine from http://www.risingsunengines.com/ I paid 30 bucks more includeing shipping then I could have got it from Nippon but these guys are the only ones that give a start up warrenty as well as a 30 unlimited mile warrenty so I figured that i was wroth the extra money. It came very clean and there was nothing broken on it compression was 185 across which is really good because brand new would be about 195

I just put a D16A8 in my 1990 si Hatch. I have been doing some research and found that you can put a zcg head on these motors. if you can then I was wondering if you would be able to locate one for me. Please email me at radioactive_si@hotmail.com

thanks
