just as the title states. im looking to boost my crx and just wanted to know if i needed to buy a traction bar or halfsized radiator. pics would be helpful and appreciated.
no, it wont clear the crossmember, you'll beed to bang down it , or cut it down to clear.
* if you look closely , you can see where it need to be "modified"

A friend of mine had to do this with his sohc greddy turbo on his EF. Not really a big deal. Kept A/C though!!

yeap buddy you will need a single radiator i just done a turbo kit on my civic 4dr and it is basically the same as a crx from the front to the window. you should clear the cross member

dont be silly you should never cut on your crossmember the cheapiest way is not always the best way. i would just invest in some traction controll. im speaking from personally doing so. i cut on mine and it bout caused me my whole car. when you cut on it the crossmember becomes weak and it will break. mines did i got lucky that i caught it before it broke all the way.. lf it breaks while your driving and more than likely your a spender" because your turbo IN YO CAR" it will cause your car to ****** to one side of the road and into who know what, whatevers beside you
^ true true, i too intially cut my crossmember also before getting my z10.
also a half size radiator is not needed.

i dont have the cash to buy a traction bar and i dont wanna modify the crossmember in anyway. is there any turbo kit out there that will clear it? how big is the greddy downpipe anyways? 2.5 in?
agreed hahaha. run open dp till your can afford the x-member. that was a good question tho. you could also have a shop custom make a downpipe to clear the x-member. i know not everyone with a boosted crx/civic has cut or got a aftermarket x-member...

never having done this, though understanding what has to be done to make it fit, you dont have to "modify" the front crossmember, just whack it with a big hammer, to bend the little lip down, i dont think any serious cutting/hacking needs to be done to destroy the structural integrity of the CM, just bending of the little lip, like on any N/A B-series swap with aftermarket mounts. However, this being said, an aftermarket crossmember (full-race TB) is the way to go!!
can we say 4in. DP??

oh so you will only have to bend the lip down? i was thinking that you would have to get a good sized dent on the crossmember. now i have hope, just not enough cash for the crossmember.
thanks to all for the help.
