Distributor help please..
I have a 96 Prelude S (sohc F22a1), and I need a new distributor. The part # for a 92-96 Prelude S is TD-59U. Some websites say it's interchangeable with an early model accord (90-92or93) dizzy, TD-52U, since it's from the same motor. When I went to look at the part number on the dizzy that's on my car, it says TD-76U. I went to look that up, and it's from a 96-97 model accord, which I believe is a F22b1.
My question is.. If I do get a TD-52U/TD-59U dizzy, will it work on my car like it's supposed to even though I have a TD-76U on there now?
Thanks,
Del

Some of the 90-93 accords had f22a1's in them. However they are obdi and you are obdii. Your best bet would be for the 96-97 f22bx. But like moogocow said, get the one for your car. It is gauranteed(sp?) to fit, after all.

The distributor made for my car (TD-59U) is an internal coil. The distributor that is on my car now (TD-76U) is an external coil.

So since my car is OBDII, is that the reason I have a dizzy from a 96-97 accord with an external coil?
