When does vtec kick in with a b16a2

hey guys i just want to make sure im right does a b16a2 from a 99 si kick in at 5500. just not sure

99 B16a2 with JDM p30 del so ecu--???
99 B16a2 wotj P28 -------???

if you can help out thank you.. was plaing to get a ek soon.
