changing stock rear brake pads on 5th gen
i really do not feel like paying someone to change my rear brake pads. is it possible to get a quick write up on how to do it and what tools i might need?
1. Remove wheel
2. Remove caliper and old pads
3. Compress caliper ( They screw in, unlike the front which u can use a c-clamp for)(I used a caliper tool kit for mine)
4. Clean rotor and use some sand paper to rough up rotor to ensure the pad breaks in correctly to the rotor
5. I sprayed my pads with Brake disc quiet (optional)
6. Place new pads onto rotor ( make sure the little medal dot on the pad lines up with the crosshair on the caliper piston)
7. Put caliper back on a tighten to spec
8. Put wheel back on and tighten until snug (star pattern)
9. Lower car and tighten lugs to spec (star pattern)
10. **Get into car and pump brakes before you move the car at all
11. Take car out and break in your new brakes ( it should say on the box the proper way to break in your new pads)
