Default Do piston size make more compression

I build'n a d16, but I'm stuck wondering if .40 over pistons are a better choice for my N/A build up. I was just going to go with .20over but If I get .40over or maybe even .50over would it make a diffrence?????

Thanks

Please help

the dish of the piston on the is going to make your compression, the bore size will simply take and make more low end power not compression

Actually changing the bore size does have an affect on the compression ratio..You have to remember the the combustion chamber in all of this..Enlargening the bore but leaving the combustion chamber stock size if going to have some kind of affect on the compression ratio..Not noticeable though, but there..

will i make more power with the larger pistons???

Is it a good Idea to increase the size?

Yeah because increasing the bore makes the displacement bigger,,So you get get more tq..Either way you should over bore the engine when rebuilding it..That's what I was taught aynway as it gives a true circle ..

the true circle is a key element towards reliable numbers on a compression scale otherwise not overboring can lead to potential problems in the future

Yea, I guess it would make the comp. ration lower by some. I'm not sure how much, and if it would be noticeable. Anyone have more info on this?
