Default Cat Converters

I have upgraded my exhaust system, with Mugen headers (4-2-1) and a Mugen twinloop, I know that the stock B pipe is quite efficient, but I still have a stock cat converter.

Can anyone reccomend what kind of Catalytic coverter I should be looking into get rid of the bottle neck.

And can someone tell me the difference between 200 cell 400 cell etc.

I tried searching but found no useful info.

So any technical knowledge would be appreciated, id rather get something i could just bolt in easily.

Is a catylitic convertor required where you live, IE for emissions testing?

if emissions is not required as 1GreyTeg asked then just get a straight pipe (test pipe).

200 or 400 cel means how many holes are in the catalyst. 200 cell = 200 holes = beter flowing, but doesnt clean the exhaust as well and may set of a CEL.

the 400 cell means it has 400 holes in the catalyst and it flows a bit less but you will have an exhaust that is clean as hell!

Im using an SMSP 2.5 400 cell cat, and it hasntgiven me a problem yet, NO CELs ever. and its been on since August.
