You have circled the iacv off of the y8 engine. Your y7 iacv is located on your throttle body. I would not try and jb weld the holes on the IM where the iacv is. Just leave the sensor where it is. It will not leak or do anything wrong.

The y8 manifold that you have is from a 5spd, the automatic manifold has the IACV on the throttle body like the y7 manifolds. Also the 5 spd is 2 wire and the automatic is 3 wire, they are completely different plugs. you can use a piece of a soda can to block it off if you want, but it should be fine if you leave it there.

Also the throttle cable won't fit because its a different length, either you can custom fab a bracket or get a y8 cable to fit with the y8 bracket.

Dont worry, your IM is fine. Thats the y8 from a M/T Civic EX. It uses the IACV on the back. No, you do not have a plug for it, but you can use it. There is the plug for your IACV on your D16Y7 motor that goes into your y7 TB. You will use that plug, but modify it a bit. Its a matter of swapping one wire, and this a common procedure done on honda-tech. I don't have the link, but if you ask someone, and search around, its simple to do. I reccomend against JB welding the wholes. Use that entire thing as it is, and the wiring is nothing complex, just swapping two or somethin small.

If you leave it as is, use the y8 TB you have, and use the y8 IM and y8 IACV.

P.S. hk7boy, thats complete, and FYI its from a 99-00 Civic (air injection holes.) do you have any more pics of that manifold? I'd like a close up pic of the EVAP thing on the top of the fuel rail.

you have to do all this correct???

Okay, let's talk about the IACV. On the D16y7 motor, the IACV is on the Throttle Body. On the D16y8 motor the IACV is on the back of the intake manifold. This is where you need to do some of your own wiring. Take 2 pieces of wire, and add male connectors to both ends, and female connectors to the other 2 ends.

Hook the female wire ends to the D16y8 IACV. ( Make sure you bend them right to fit on tight ) Now, use the male ends to plug into the D16y7 IACV plug. Be sure to disregard the orange wire, as it will not be needed. Check the diagram included to compare the wires so you know which you will need to hook to what. Honestly, if you can get the D16y8 IACV plug and cut it w/ a few inches of wire on it, that's your best bet. If not, you just gotta play w/ it until you get the wires on correct. You got a 50/50 chance the first time.

Now, still on the IACV. You gotta move some wires around on the ECU. There is a diagram for this as well.

is this wat i have to do just to change the y8 IM ?becuase its using a 2 wire IACV instead of a 3 wire IACV?

I have a 2000 Honda Civic EX auto, there's no IACV. I have D16Y8 IM pics. PM me if anyone wants to see the IM pics posted on here.

That's stock, I'm unsure if it's a difference between M/T and A/T or just the year of the D16Y8

You can not use the IACV that is on the y8 intake manifold if you are planning on using your stock P2E ecu. That ecu will look for a 3-wire iacv and if it doesn't find it, it will throw a cel and your car will run shitty. You will have to re-use the y7 throttle body on the y8 intake manifold.

What you can do is trade me your manifold that you bought for my old y8 auto manifold. It will be a direct bolt on for you.
