I recently purchased a 93 Del Sol SI and I think whoever had it before me put in an aftermarket clutch. The clutch pedal feels so heavy compared to my other standard transmission cars. It feels almost like the cable clutch in my old 3rd gen accord. Can someone give me an idea of what the stock del sol clutches feel like? Thanks in advance.

 

Its kinda hard to tell you how somthing feels. If you have driven a current gen nissan sentra, that'll give you a hint. Its not stiff but not soft either.....again kinda hard to show

 

the stock clutch in my 92 civic is very light. i barely have to touch and it goes down. the clutch doesn't grab till i almost totally lift my foot off. i've driven my friends si with a ACT extreme clutch and man, that is one stiff clutch. it takes some force to push it down and the the clutch grabs so fast and early, it's almost impossible to not stall out.

 

also keep in mind every car is different. My brother's 92 si hatch feels diff then mine and both are cars are stock. So really i dont know what to tell ya. If u dont like it, well get used to it or change it.

 

the clutch on a del sol feels like butter compaired to a civic but if u dont like the tranny ill take it off ur hands. its like power steering and no power steering but ur talking about the feel of a clutch get it

 

Yeah I'm gonna assume it's a heavier clutch then. It's definitely not light but it still grabs right up towards the top. Thanks guys. Really appreciate the help.
