Not my IAC valve!!
My car is having the same trouble as InvaderTrax is having. I pulled the IAC vlave today and cleaned it and it is still doing it. Could it possibly be the main relay? if not what are some other things that could be causing it?
Thanks
Thanks
Next to the throttle body, like in top of it there's a adjusting screw. Use a flat head screwdriver while the car is on, and listen to the rpms. That might be your problem.

Thanks</TD></TR></TABLE>The problem InvaderTrax described does not sound like the idle surge that a bad IACV would cause. I would start by asking how old are the plugs, wires, rotor, and cap. Then I'd look at fuel pressure and supply.
