Cooling Fans dont turn on
Ive owned my prelude for about 2 or 3 years now, and Ive always noticed tha the fan doesnt turn on. Some of you guys say that the fan should turn on with in a couple of minutes of warming up, or when your car turns off. Well...the fan in mine doesnt turn on at all. Ive left the car on, parked, for over 15 minutes and the fan never turns on. Ive checked after driving the car for an hour or so and it never turns on. Im definetly sure it doesnt turn on when the car is being driven. So, what could be casuing this? a bad fan motor? a bad fan switch? Let me know guys. What can i change to fix it? thanks guys.
I would check the fuse in the engine comparntent 1st, then apply power directly to one fan at a time to make sure your fans are good. Then unplug your fan switch(located in the thermo housing) and jump it( then turn your ignition on) and see if they come on. Mine have come on only a couple times during the summer, they only came on after setting at idle for 20minutes(no joke) in 100+ this summer. i can email you a couple of great sections from my fsm if you want to test further.
Ill take any help i can get. Thanks SteveoBA8!

Unplug the connector from the switch threaded into your thermostat housing and put a jumper wire in there, then turn your ignition switch on and see if your fans come on. Did you check your fuse? Unplug the fan connectors(2 prong) and apply power to them directly from the battery to see if the fans even work would be the thing i would do.
Edit: both fan fuses are in the engine comparment fuse pannel.
