Default power stering

im gonna use a b16a in my 94 civic ex. it has power stering now, but do i have to put it back on there? will there be any damage if i leave it off?

You don't have to keep power steering if you don't want. But drain your fluid from the steering rack and plug it-- I heard it helps. Do some search about this in the archived topics--more stuff on power steering in there.

some people say that you need to leave the fluid in the rack, the fluid lubricates the rack and prevents wear. some people say thats not enough, you need the pressure to properly lube the rack. some people pull the pump, drain the fluid and drive around for years like that and not notice any change.
