licence plate w/ JDM front
isnt there a place for it? two tabs with holes in it right? im thinkin you need one of those metal clips that go over that tab and you screw a license plate on and the metal clips will hold the screw in... but then again its JDM so the mounting point may be off...
my solution? ZIP TIE!
If you have a mesh grill you can just simply zip tie the license plate to that.

yeah the jdm holes and the udsm plate doesnt match up
i have to bring it in to get a fix-it ticket checked off so i dont think zip ties are a good idea

the guys at a&j used a short drilled metal plates and passed the the bolts holding up the license thru the holes and mounted the nuts from behind the bumper. align the license , then tighten the nuts. sorry i can't seem to explain it any better than that... but it's the short plates that keep everything from falling through...

I drilled holes in the bumper and offset it to the left of center (all the way to the left) it actually looks really cool, most of my friends did it.
try the zip tie's! worst case scenario, they will send you home. My friend went to get his signed off and he just put the plate on the dash (before they got too crazy over the issue.. early stages of front plate "analism") and they signed it off cuz he had promised to put it on the front when he got home...
just try it! zip ties hold just as well as bolts do! my other friend got away with zip ties...

Here is what I did to avoid drilling through the bumper.....
I went to Home Depot and bought 2 suction cups. and two 1/4" long screws. I then screwed the suction cups to the plate and stuck them on the bumper. Its best to wait until your about half a block away from your destination (the place your going to get it signed off at) to put them on. They dont last very long under normal driving conditions.... trust me.
When you finally get there, park in such a way as to allow the officer/DMV rep. to view the car from the building. It will save them a long walk out to the parking lot, and they will appreciate your kindness and consideration.
