Have I found an easy place to instally an autometer water temp sender?
Can I remove the coolant drain bolt on the back of the block and replace it with the temp sender? Im not sure if you could even find an adaptor to make that work, or if it would even work at all. Any Ideas on this? If not, is there somewhere on the block or close to the block that is threaded and suitable for a water temp sender, or is my best bet to drill and tap the thermostat housing?
Is the autometer sender a different thread size than the OEM sendor?? My Defi sender will screw directly into the stock location...
I used a front housing from an h23 and jb welded one of the adapters that came with my autometer water temp gauge. Its the easiest way to do it and clean as hell IMO. No leaks what so ever.
Maybe you do with Autometer...I don't know, but Defi gives you a new sender.
Does it thread into where coolant switch B is, on the upper radiator hose housing? Or the actuall oem water temp gauge( single red wire i think) directly into the head.

This should explain it better than I can...\/\/

Thats what i was talking about, so your gona drill and place the defi gauge in place of the factory temp gauge or move the whole thing over?

I'm going to leave the stock temp gauge unplugged and probably just cover it up with something black and mount it off to the side (all this interior stuff is electronically connected so I probably won't be able to completely remove it). The whole center gauge peice will be moved over, though...

Ok, its a must to keep all the indicator lights. Hacking up the center piece would be more wiring. Cant wait to see the finished product.

Yeah, if you take one thing out, 4 other things won't work...
I can't wait to see it either.

I put my greddy gauge's sender in the stock location. Screwed right in, no retapping required. Also I removed the stock sender. All it does is sit at one bar, when I get enough energy, I am going to take apart the dash console and just cover up the water temp part of it. Had it like this for a long time
