okay had some problems with injectors but i think i figured it out... another thing is i just have headers and downpipe on.. my problem is it won't rev higher than 3500 rpm it just like cuts off after that don't know if it is like a slight back fire or what but will not rev higher than 3500 rpm ?? any suggestions will help thanks

 

What CEL code(s) are you getting? Do you have the cat and O2 sensor plugged in yet?

Yep, you're gonna get a heck of a lot of backfiring when you are dumping right out the header...

no not just out the headers i have the downpipe on too , also yes i have o2 sensor plugged in. i have no idea how to retrieve the codes on this car ? it is obd 1 i used to have obd 2 and new how too on that ...

 

Jump the 2 prong service connector in the interior. Turn the key to the on position. Watch the CEL flashes.

 

where is the 2 prong service connector ? the obd1 h22 is in my 97 civic . which i had my 97 civic ex harness re-wired to work on the h22 ???

 

It should be under the dash on the passenger side.. right by the ecu.. The connector has two wires.. the connector should be blue in colour ( unless they're different in the states)

Once you just the connector.. the CEL on the dash will flash a certain amount of times... a long flash will equal 10s.. and quick flashes mean 1s.. just count them and add them up.

 

any vaccumm leaks?

later your going to need a fuel pump, it'll help. my friend had to get one, he had a civic pump for 100hp when he had a 200 hp motor (h22a) in it.
