Default cleaning off carb deposits

I bought me a used OEM exhaust manifold because mine is cracked and there’s carbon build up to the max in all the runners. I went to AutoZone and got a gallon or CARB cleaner along with a snake-brush and try to clean it but it only removed a minimal. The thing is, its’ bristles are made of polyurethane and not metal so it wasn’t really working that great. I went to home depot, AutoZone…etc and nobody has a metal/steel bristle snake (pipe cleaner) I can purchase.

My questions are, have I looked at all the right places? or even purchased the correct items?

And is there a place I can actually take the thing to to get it cleaned?

a machine shop can probably clean it for you. carbon deposits in the exhaust are hard as hell.

Try a BBQ scrub brush if you want a metal bristle thing. And then just let it sit in the carb cleaner.

Sand blasting might work.

If you do use lots of carb cleaner please take the appropriate health and environmental protection. i.e. wear gloves, glasses and don't dump it all in the sewer.
