Hi all,

I have a DC2 with an H22A. My exhaust was custom done, all 2.5" pipping.

My muffler is straight through and the noise is really getting to me.

I added the biggest resonator I could buy and it's tolerable now but I still find it too loud. I'm now looking at getting a replacement from axle back to hopefully reduce the noise some.

I'd like your opinions on a quiet make. I'd like to keep it at 2.5" but a tad smaller would be fine as well.

I've read RS*R and Apexi WS are really quiet but I'm having zero luck locating axle backs from anyone around here, word is I have to buy the whole system from cat back

I got my WS used off of eBay for $200 shipped.

I don't know of any axlebacks.

Diameter ? I think it's ~ 2.25" right?

It's 60mm. I measured mine at 2.35" or so...

 

if the exhaust is all custom welded than an axle back, with the flange, wont work for you anyway.

I believe that Thermal R&D and Magnaflow both make universal mufflers with a range of inlet and outlet sizes and layouts available. And along with that big resonator either of these should sound quiet but still nice.
