My days as a Type R owner have come to an end. Yesterday I ordered my new car, and sold the R off. The good news is the replacement is pretty nice, and the better news is my 55 year old mom bought my R off me as a daily driver. So atleast its still in the family. If anyone sees an old lady pimping a CW ITR around the southwest, say hi to my mom.

Replacement is a 06 EVO 9 MR. Had a 500hp eclipse GSX before my ITR, so its back to the roots.

 

Tell mom to take care of that car. Don't let her use it as a grocery getter...

 

She is going to have it "restored" first. All prettied up, motor completely refreshed/overbored, new pistons. Get it all cleaned up.

She was dissappointed when she found out it didn't have cruise control. The way she drives, I don't know if she will ever discover vtec. That will be a nice surprise one day while getting on the highway.

The other good thing is I didn't have a garage, and she does. She is going to keep it pampered in the garage. Its like my R is being retired to th good old life of old lady ownership.

My mom HATES my car.. i mean.. she LOVES IT, its really "PRETTY" and stuff that a women wold obviously say,

but the ride is god awful she says, especially getting in and out of the racing seats.. lol..

shes scared to even take it past 6k rpm

Lol, I had my mom drive my car upto 9k getting onto the highway one day.... just so she could see what my project/hobby was all about... She was all smiles the rest of the day, and said driving the car once was enough

haha no kidding. and to think my mom was cool for getting one of the first 98 v6 accord coupe's when they first came out. your mom makes her look like a grandma. lol

 

first of all, congrats on purchasing the MR. your mom is cool to be driving the R. btw, does the R have the turbo? i remember seeing a PY R one day and when i drove up to it, the driver was a grandma. i thought it was the coolest thing.

 

At times I wish I did not mod my ITR and leave it original.
I need 2 R's lol

I'd never let my mom drive cuz she learned manual xx years ago, and now she would either burn the clutch or not be able to move it anywhere

So the R has alittle oil leak, burns alittle oil, and has 1-2 dings. She wants me to take it in and order parts to get it bling'd out and perfect. Since it has 113k miles she is going for a complete rebuild, and going to get every little thing fixed. Crazy moms.
