Hi I need help..... my baby is sick and dont know what is wrong the problem is that when I start my car the RPMS go up and down and then drops all the way down and then completely shuts off... before this happened I used to drive it and only shut off on me while I came to a complete stop unless I had my foot on the gas, I also get a code 5 when I do the engine code diagnostics which I looked up and said it was an MAP sensor but I changed that out and gave me the same problem and same code, WHAT DO I DO? I have no idea what it is and need the car to go to work someone please help, I appreciate it...

 

You might have carbon build up in the throttle body restriting vacuum to the map try looking there first

 

Check the vacuum hoses for leaks, particularly the one going to the MAP. Pull the hose out and make sure you can blow through it. Also check the wiring going to the MAP for cut insulation that may be grounding your signal.
