i have a b18c1 block and a b16a2 head. i bought a gsr timing belt but is way too ong. i also tried the si belt but still too long. I dont know what belt should i use.
please let me know ASAP. i need to ge this car done?
the gsr block has a longer stroke than the b16 block. and i thing the si head is shotter by a couple of inches. I was told to use the gsr belt but im surprise that the si belt dont even fit at all.

 

what water pump are u using?

 

w3rd, you have the wrong pump on there or something...

 

gsr water pump. but the i think the si is the same pump. im using gsr cams, b16a2 oil pump and tensioner. but the gsr belt still too short and si too

 

you have something wrong going on...are you routing it right? im not calling you dumb but the GsR belt is the belt you need...it has to fit perfect..

 

so why the si belt dont even fit

 

unless u have 2 si belts and dont know it....the si belt is shorter than the gsr and ls

 

i will check the belt tensioner.
if is in the right place.
