B16a2 Redline!!
I got a b16a2, and wanna change my rev limit to 9k. What are some things i should start off getting?
Pistons & Rods? If so, which kind. What are other components i should get so i dont destroy my engine?

What kinda Valvesprings and Cam would you recommend? Also what would be the next good step afterward to start building a solid na motor? Pistons & Rods?
Whats your setup like? And what are you #'s if you know.

i have a gsr block, all i did was throw on some itr pistons, itr head ( pretty much same as b16 head), and offcourse im using itr cams, i made 177whp and 135 torque, i redline all day long at 9k with a chipped p28 ecu...

Itr valvesprings and valves are different from b16 so dont tell him that.
Also you might be revving to 9,000 but with a stock ITR head power is falling off by then.
Ezzzey. Its easy to rev that high but its pointless if theres no reason for it.
First you will need bigger cams, like Jun 3's, rockets, skunks (s2s2 or the pro series) etc.
These will get your power up into the 8,xxx rpm range, and will hold power OK till 9,000. But the stock head flow will be holding you back there.
After you do cams and valvesprings your right pistons and rods to give you a compression jump for the bigger cams.
Then dont forget your gonna need an ecu with a raised rev limit. And all these parts thrown together is just a pile of parts w/o some sort of tuning.

What are some good Rods and Pistons for na build?
What kind of tuning would you recommend? Hondata?
What would you recommend? S2s2 or S2 Pro Cams or ITR Cams?
Tx for all the info

the bottom end will hold up - but for how long and do you really trust your OEM rod bolts to hold up to the stresses caused by revving 9k+? I would at least up grade to some ARP rod bolts to be safe on the bottom end as well. just my .02

for any other motor besides a b16 i would worry about stock going over 9k but guys theres no stroke on those things.
for na pistons and rods get forged and light. OR to be cheaper get some ctr slugs for the stock rods and upgrade to arp rod bolts. You should have the compression for some bigger cams then.
