Default ENGINE DIFFERENCE

Whats the difference between a D15B1 and a D15B2... anything?

d15b1 = 130 hp (vtec)
d15b2= 92 hp (non-vtec)

D15b1, vtec? WTF? Isn't the b1 the STD DPFI non vtec engine? Believe they're relatively the same.

I didnt even see the d15b1 listed on there.

iirc the big difference was the cam and the intake setup.

Wrong d15b1 Is not an 8 valve Engine!

The d15b1 is a DPFI 16v Engine, Non VTEC. Pretty sure it came in all 88-91 STD Hatchbacks, not sure about the CRX's but I think the HF had the 8 valve engine.

iirc the main differences between the b1 and the b2 are the cam, intake setup, and a few other little things that helped bump the power to 92hp.

D15b2 = 88-91 civic dx,lx,16 valve,1.5L,sohc,92hp,DPFI
D15b6 = 88-91 crx HF,8 valve,1.5L,sohc,52hp,MPFI

d15b1 fo life

it came only in the civic std had a 4 spd tranny *HF -5th gear* had a cam about as flat as paper.
