It would be best to use both..Because the fmu adds fuel and all the vafc does is subtract fuel..Using both of those you could get some pretty good a/f's

Im assuming you are boosted

Well no..Because with added air you will need added fuel..The vafc alone and stock injectors will only subtract fuel..

Yes..But you will need a high flow fuel pump also with this setup As the fmu dumps crazy amounts of fuel into the motor over 5psi..

Indeed. I just did an ecu for nekoabandonded and I think this is the fifth or sixth time he's rebuilt his z6 after blowing it up on a combination of stock injectors, fmu, and vafc. , poor guy, just got his vtec working too.

Most fmus suck..But the aeromotive digital fmu is pretty nice..But for the price of one you can have a chipped ecu,45o inectors, and upgrader fuel pump..

There's never time to do it right, but there's always time to rebuild the engine. Funny how that works huh.

my friend had a fmu when he bought his hatch back, it was a b16a3 turbo in a ef hatchy, it went fine with the fmu and all, but he drove it like this before a week, and we all got him to get it tuned with crome, the damage was already done and in less then 3 days with a socketed ecu and tuned with a wb all 4 ringlands were owned. id rather use a vafc then a fmu, but xenocron does ecus for cheap as hell, hit me up if u need any obd1 socketed ecu my friend in seattle has some socketed and burned by him.

fmu were designed for the use with your stock assembly injectors .....not really for use with the larger injectors sizes although you would make more power by throwing them on you leave yourself the probability of detonation it all depends on what fmu ratio you are running. I was running a 12:1 vortech fmu on my sohc turbo and it ran completely fine and made desent power for just about 6-7 lbs of boost with my stock d16a6 injectors
