Testing waters : b20vtec motor
FOR SALE
b20vtec:
jdm b16a head with about 35k
usdm 02' b20Z block with about 25k miles
new timing belt
skunk 2 intake manifold and intake manifold gasket
obd1 p72 gsr ecu if needed
Located in MD
I swapped the b20z into my hatch about 2 months ago and the motor just came out of my friends moms 02 crv that she got t-boned and it was claimed totaled by her insurance company so I picked it up. A month went by and I decided to put a vtec head on it. The head is completely stock, was milled, hot-tanked, and had valves cleaned up before install by professional machine shop, have reciept.
When I took the head off the b20z it was extremely clean inside and looked like it had just been honed not too long ago hence the low miles. Brand new b20 head gasket and had the dowel holes enlarged on the b16 head to match block and head gasket.
Have only changed the oil once since the install, burns NO oil, does not smoke, there is nothing wrong with the motor. This is a fresh motor with very low miles and I am trying to see if I can sell it before I put to many miles on it because I want to go back to b18b and turbo.
PICTURES
Obviously the motor is still in the car, but I can easily pull it in 45 minuts, if you are local this means you could even test drive it
... if anyone wants some pics with the valve cover off let me know, engine is VERY clean inside..
