Default 92 Civic Hatch Speakers

Hi Civic Folks,

What is the easiest/best way/location to put rear speakers in my DX Hatch? It came with a great stereo but only front speakers. Has the capacity for front & rear.

Thanx

I called Crutchfield but they don't supply the installation kit that I need. It seems that because the car doesn't have original factory rear speakers, I have to go to Honda to get the original speaker brackets and grills. Does this sound right? That's what Crutchfield said to do before buying speakers.

you can find the rear speaker brackets on ebay. the factory wiring and connecters are already in the car. just pop off the rear plastic panels and reach down the side of the car. you'll feel the connectors.

I've seen some people actually install them in the hatch cover (I think thats what its called), but it rattled. Best thing to do is try to get the oem stuff and do it right!!!!
