swaps
i've been reading around and i know the h22 is the most common swap. i was thinking about another route. would it be worth it (price, outcome) to swap a j30a4 (2003 and up v6 motor) into my 6th gen? i'm just looking to gather some ideas.

try it, h22 gain is so slim, for some of us, it's not even worth the 3 grands.
the new motor, not exactly sure but they are a tad higher i think, just look at the "crowning" on the hood.

The V6s i believe are a bit wider or longer or something, I remember reading up on that.
For the same money as an engine swap though, you could have more power by just turbocharging it.
Provided you have a manual tranny (swap would be about 10-1200 or so) you could boost 10psi on a stock block without worrying with a reasonably sized turbo, and you could tune it and get way more power than you ever would with a swap, without the extra weight of say a V6 swap
