Doesn't really matter, but optimally the 2.25 side goes to the turbo side because some people like to run smaller pipes on that side to speed upthe air to the intercooler then slow in down in the intercooler using the maximum amount of time in the intercooler. Got it?

yea i got it, someone told me otherwise, they said the 2.5 off the turbo and 2.25 on the intake side so it can build pressure in the cooler because it tends to loose pressure once it get to the intercooler

this guy explained it pretty good. think about it like this; when u buy a drag kit the intercooler is 2" on the turbo side and 2 1/2 on the intake side. this is done for a reason. this way is gonna be the best way/most efficient to install it. good luck.

Also, most t3-t3/t4 turbos have a 2"-2 1/4" exducer, anyways. So, it would make sense just to have a piping close to the size of the compressor outlet. Then larger 2.5" on the intercooler to throttle, due to the throttle body being around that size.

Thats how I really see it.
