Default LS Vtech Vs. B18 .......and $$$

does anyone here have a LS Vtech swap in a CRX?....... is it even possiblity? i need advice on weather to go with a ls vtech or a gsr motor. i like the ls vtech but i've heard stuff about if their not put together correctly they leak oil.....so should i go with the gsr engine... and also what is the price range for both of these swaps?

umm, if i had the choice i would go ls/beetec all the way... wait a sec, i did . but seriously, as long as the bottom end is rebuilt properly using things like heavy duty rod bolts, shot peened or aftermarket rods, balanced crank, etc than the ls/vtec setup is the way to go. plus if you build it urself u will save money and have fun.

How the hell do you all put b18c into your 4th gen? Do you wire the car for obd1? Geez, I figure that I could use a skunk2 manifold, with an old ls distributor, with my existing wiring and my existing pr3 b16 ecu it would work, but I am sure that that larger displacement motor needs different fuel/timing maps. Just curious.

I currently have an LSVTEC in my hatch. It is correct if you don't put it together correctly it will leak oil. This is my second LSVTEC. The first one was named the "cherry bomb" Due to the fact that my car is red and it smoked so bad.
Hint: Use alot of honda bond on the head gasket. It basically glues the block to the head. My engine doesn't leak anymore.

Personally I would go with the LSVTEC in a CRX. I think the B20 might have too much power for the weight of the car. Espically if you were to put a VTEC head on it. I know I would if I dropped a B20 in my car. I couldn't resist it! Could you?
