Default What Valvetrain for BC IV Cam's and Gear's

I was wondering what the reccomend springs, valves, retainers for the BC IV cam-shaft's and gears?

Running a 99 JDM ITR

I was planning on having the head milled a little to increase the compression and then running a thinner headgasket. What kinda overall compression could i achieve with a slight mill and thinner head-gasket? I dont want anything overkill, its a daily driver and i can only get 92-93 octane. But an increased compression would help the cams put down more power.

Thanks for the help, ive heard buddy club makes a valvetrain head packaged for there cam's but havnt seen anything about it. I dont wanna mix and match brands if its gonna effect the overall performance of everything. When running na you need every pony you can get.

Edit: Also, with the new valvetrain and cam's, gears, how high can i safely rev my motor. It will still have the stock JDM 11:1 ITR Bottom end. I know this cam makes power over 9k+. Not sure how high the bottom end can survive without risking damage.

you should consider spec IIIs for your compression

i know spec III's for my current compression but the head is gonna be worked over and going to be milled. Il also run a thinner headgasket so my compression isnt gonna be 11:1 after all said and done. With the raised compression the IV's should net more power up in higher rpm's and should be the same as the III's mid-range.

you getting high 12's with just milling the head or you running different pistons/rods and so fourth?

i dont know how high the ITR compression can get from milling the head, its 11:1 stock

I'm going to go out on a limb here, Buddy Club. I would *hope* that BC can manufacture their valvetrain to support the cams they sell.

There are other valvetrain manufacturers that provide good, quality parts.

SuperTech (what I am running)
Rocket Motorsports (2nd gen)
Toda (2nd gen)

Skunk2 has their new Pro line of valvetrain, but since it is so new, there is not a lot of information about them, but I can only assume it is better than their original line, which performed well.

As for the cam gears. ST Corsa has the best gears you can buy for B-series motors mainly due to their 100% slip free operation and extremely easy to read and accurate timing marks. However they are discontinued.

I am running the Skunk2 Pro gears, they are very lightweight and use high quality bolts.

Just stay away from AEM.
