Engine Selection Help!!!!!
This has probably been discussed over and over, and i wasnt here to hear about it.
MY PLAN: Build a Daily Driver with about 175-200whp
What motor would be better to use.... i found
1. B16a2 / 170hp@7800rpm / 116lbs-ft@5200rpm --- $2300
2. B18b1 / 142hp@6300rpm / 127lbs-ft@5200rpm --- $1900
EXTRA: LSD (Limited Slip Differential) - $250 <--- Worth it???
***price is without install
What would be the best way to get either of these engines to 175-200whp?
I hear a lot of talk about slapping on a turbo and thats it. But i also hear a lot of good info about building a NA engine. Less problems, more reliable, and well a 250hp turbo charged and a 250hp na build, the na would win, since its constant power. What are your suggestions?
Also, what bolt-ons do you are worth the $$.? Are Toda Racing Cams + Gears worth 2000$?
