wrinkle red paint

Default wrinkle red paint

painted my valve cover with that wrinkle red paint.. resembles close to the itr stock paint.. atleast i think so..

yeah i took it off, thats how i wanted it, when i put it back on i taped around it and painted the bolts.. when it warms up im going to polish the letters with a dremal

dude, dont lie...you didnt even bother taking it off...if you look closely at the 2nd pic, theres overspray. BTW if you want to do it correctly the next time around, use vaseline on the lettering and when youre finished wipe it off

HA DUDE! if you were closely PAYING ATTENTION to the thread, i said that once i put it back on i sprayed over the bolts, why would i lie about something stupid like that? why cant people like u say they either like it or dont, people like u are always zoooming in on other peoples posts to either talk **** about what they dont like or flaws they have made.. get a life man..

im well aware that i got overspray behind the valve cover.. thanks for the reminder though as if i didnt no that lol.. im gonna get it off no biggy.. but THANKS TO EVERYONE else for the replys

Take a block of wood, and wrap it with sandpaper.

Then proceed to sand off the letters. Looks perfect.

Looks good, IMO.

I don't understand why you'd do it that way. Seems like it woulda been easier to paint the bolts while they were off, that way you'd have no overspray. It's on your header too. I don't like it. Maybe if the bolts were their normal finish, and the lettering was still silver. Nice try though.
