cold start sensor?

Default cold start sensor?

I just bought a crx and it runs like **** until it is warmed up. the guy i bought it from said it was something like a cold start sensor? anyways if anybody knows what sensor it is and where it is located i could use the help.

my ls/vtec did something like that..any check engine light..

Well if the ect(engine coolant temperature) wasnt reading correctly you wouldnt be getting enough fuel at startup. It could also be the iacv(idle air control valve).

cold start sensor??? I have always wondered where that thing was located??? Jking, there is no such sensor.

ya so if u read the symptoms of my car what is it? it seems like it is some sort of sensor because once the car is warmed up it runs fine any HELP would be appreciated

The ect is right under the distributor....it has 2 wires... white/red and white/green. This is for an Si and it think its the same for other models.

Usually if it idles at 1k when it's cold, it won't run too well. The FITV is supposed to allow extra air in that case to idle at 1.5-2k until it warms up.

Mine takes a few seconds to rev up, sounds very loppy almost like a high-duration/lift cam is in there.
