tapped oil pan?

tapped oil pan?
my local shop wantes like 200+$ to tap my freakin oil pan for my turbo...i think its a redicalous ammount of money so any ideas? seeing as i cant weld im kinda sol....

jk, if you take off your oil pan, find a fitting, and do the drilling, i'm sure they could do i for a lot cheaper.

That's exactly what I did.
I pulled off my pan, lined below where I was going to drill with tape that was hanging off to catch all of the shavings, drilled it out, and JB welded the fitting on.
Just remember to find out where you need to tap it and make sure it's high enough on the pan.
I first put the fitting on and put some JB weld around it. I used a heat gun and hardened that little bit up. I then kept building it up and drying it until it looked kinda like a volcano.
It's been holding up for about 6 months with no problems.

You mean like Tap and Die sets? They're like $20, but you just need a drill to tap an oil pan.
