Default Painting Valve Cover Question..

i was wondering if you would have to honda bond it before you put the valve cover back on..thanks in advance

I just clean the matting surface of the cylinder head and oil up the gasket before I re-install.

I take my valve cover off quite often to adjust the valves and i have never used any kind of gasket seal yet. Just make sure that both surfaces are clean of oil before reinstalling. Aslo make sure your gasket has no cracks or cuts in it, if so you may want to replace it. Also never hurts to check the plug seals/brushing for cracks or cuts as well.

But if you never plan on taking it off again and you are worried, gasket seal is about $5

FYI Remember not to torque the bolts. I just snug them up ever so lightly or you may crack the valve cover
