Default building NA beast

whats up honda-tech, i recently bought a 91 integra with 235,000 miles on original motor. I've done misc preventive maintenance(timming belt, water pump, replaced radiator ect) since purchased, but want to upgrade for power. now my question is this, should i concider buying a new b18a and starting from scratch, or building the stock one. i know that the internals are original, and thats seems to be a lot of ware on stock pistons for nitors, which i dont want to do any way, im thinking maybe throwing a b16 head on, and calling it a day. any idea's?

depends on how much money you're willing to spend but i would rebuild the engine before throwing on a b16 head.

A couple of months ago piston 4 broke on my 88 accord so I rebuilt the engine in that. I got a topline engine kit but for your car I would look for a high performance engine rebuild kit. If you go to http://www.importperformanceparts.net you should be able to find a rebuild kit with eagle or Je pistons, I think, and some rods. Then would polish the crank, deck the block, and mill the B16 head after grinding the valves porting it and getting bigger cams. That should be a pretty nice set up.

Don't forget the ARP rod bolts if you rebuild with a stock bottom end.

Search, there is a lot of LSVTEC info in the archives.
