Painting Fender
alright, ive already done all prep work.. sanded..primered, just need to know how many coats of the color im using do i use 1 or 2, then i clearcoat..how many?
also any good technique when using spray gun make it look decent (up and down) or (side to side)

sand down the parts where it has scratches...from there, hit the entire fender with primer...then scuff the entire fender with a red scotch brite and hit it with about a couple coats of base, just make sure its covered well..and even..make sure theres no dust or any of that crap...then clear it...cut the clear and it will be shinier than the rest of the car....so you might want a lil orange peel to imitate the stock paint look LOL

alright, i painted fender, and i shot 2 coats of clearcoat, but its not shiny or smooth like rest of car, whatd i do wrong?.. lol note to self, thank god it looks ok, but never try painting a car again

you should be able to wetsand with a very high grit and buff it, I believe...dont quote me on that, never did much research on paint
