I have an obx-r muffler on some custom piping and although the muffler is HUGE the tone is deep with no can of farting bees.

I had the full OBX catback on my previous car and it was quality built and had 2.5" piping but it wasnt that raspy, only above 3000rpm..But this was without a catylist so that was a big contributing factor in the rasp..

Ive got that tsudo exhaust off ebay on my car now it sounds better then the obx..But then again it depends on the motor you have to..

yeah its good quality I had one for a while. you can get one for $225 shipped on ebay. I just dint like the narrowing of the piping around the flanges. but you can just bring it to exhaust shop and have them cut it out.

I figure I will post the same response here (as I posted in the other 2.5 exhaust thread) since this also deals with OBX and I went on a little rant:

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Mr.speaker &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">The exhausts are decent though..Ive used them on all the hondas Ive had..No way Im spending +$500 for just a name and smaller piping..
</TD></TR></TABLE>

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by VtecSyndrome &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">

Well I hear you but you are not just paying for a name in this department, I would love to see dyno results when compared to higher qaulity exhausts. Something tells me that would really show the true difference. I have a more in depth opinion w/ OBX simply because I dealt w/ them for a brief period when I was working at a speed shop. It was only a brief period due to the lack of quality in ALL their parts and their lack of honesty and respect as a reputable tuner. Even their magazine ads are retarded as hell, have you seen what I am talking about? everything they sell is labled as "technology" like that is suppossed to mean their knowledgeable, how the hell can they advertise "valve cover technology" w/ a straight face??:

OBX JDM lighting "technology"
OBX shift **** "technology"
OBX Valve cover "technology" &lt;that one really trips me out.
OBX Pedal floor plate "technology"
OBX breather "technology"

These were all quoted from their add in SPC mag. Now if that type of advertising does not screem "we don't know **** about cars so please buy our stuff so we don't have to get real jobs"
I don't know what does.

I have learned when you are in the sales side of aftermarket parts you really get to see all kinds of crap that regular customers are not aware of and it just breaks my heart. I am glad you have not had any problems w/ your parts but I firmly beleive that if you had seen what I have seen then you would agree completely.

To me OBX is just another company hopping on the import band wagon trying to make bank & ride it to it's bitter trendy end, they prey on the lack of knowledge alot of hondas guys don't have.

I long for the day the Import "Trend" dies and some other trend takes over leaving only true die hard enthusiasts left to the import world (mainly Hondas of course). This way the only manufactures the market will support will be the ones that really know WTF they are doing.

Damn that turned into quite a rant!</TD></TR></TABLE>
