EXTREMELY LOUD SQUEEL!!! TIMING BELT AREA!!!
This has been going on for more than a month now and at first i thought it was because of the cold but it has warned up a bit and it still does it. It only occurs between 0 and 15 mph. If i slightly tap the has and creep up on the speed i won't hear it. I've heard it could be everything from a tight timing belt to a dry ball joint. When i an still i can hear it squell with the idle. Sounds like metal on metal. Usually occurs only in drive. Any experiences?
It is probably one of your alternator, power steering, or AC belts that are making the noise.
Buy some belt dressing, reset your tension, or buy new belts.

i had this problem on a sohc. we fixed the problem accidently when my friend lean on the plastic timing belt cover. turn out the belt was rubbing against it. a quick adjustment and problem went away. good luck.
