Default Recommendations

I recently blown my 89 CRX si engine away and I'm thinking it could be a good time to get a new engine more powerful that the stock si. I would like to know which engines are the easier to swap into a CRX like I have and also how much that would cost approximatly. BTW, no need to say ZC cause I highly doubt I can find one here in Quebec, Canada...

Also btw, do you think a west wings bodykit back would look good on a silver Rex?

Thanks

You could do the sohc vtec.(d16z6 or d16y8) BUT, I would really recommend the ZC. Why would you have trouble finding one in canada? We live in the US, japan is just as far away. Anyway, the newer motors need more modification wo work with your non obd setup. The zc bolts right in and will whipp-*** on a d16z6.

ahhhh thank you very much

I said that cause I have been looking last summer for a electric motor for my sunroof, I found 2 CRX in about 15 junkyards and all that was left on the was the frame, nothing else. But it's true that a ZC can come in a Civics too so that increase the chances of finding one.

the SOHC Vtech looks like to be not too tough to fit and easy to find, there is many 5th gen Civics totalled here. I'm gonna start looking for that. Thanks for the infos.

I also saw in another thread a site (something-nippons.com) where you can buy a ZC online. Wonder if that would be a good way to get one, it seems to be pretty expensive tho.

Just for my information, Is a ZC really more powerful than a D16Z6 SOHC Vtec, like can you really feel the difference?

Also, how can you tell that an engine is a ZC or a ZC G?
