it is a TINY, hairline crack but does leak oil prety bad.. i will probably get flamed for asking this but what do you guys think?
The problem with cracks is that they can grow very quickly. Any idea what caused the crack? Over tightened bolt? If you do use JB weld or another adhesive, keep an eye on it for a while to make sure it isn't still growing due to some source of stress...

I would suggest drilling a hole @ the end of the crack, then cleaning the hell out of the block and follow that with JB weld allowing it to set for 2x its recommended time..
If its not clean, it wont stick.
That Alumaloy is crap.. I have tried it before..

Werd. For $10 I thought it might be worth it, I could repair a hole I punched in an aluminum wheel so I could use the set for Victoracers.... No dice. Even using MAPP gas I couldn't get anything thicker than an aluminum can to "weld" using the stuff. The stuff just melted, stuck to the aluminum, and peeled off with any force.
