how do i fix running "fuel rich"?

how do you know your running rich, anyhting do to the fuel system/ecu or cel's

 

Took it to exhaust shop and the black smoke that’s coming out and getting on my bumper?

 

could also indicated bruning oil

 

id say ure runnin rich

 

if its running rich on a stock fuel system, you may have an injector taking a shiet

 

Are you in limp mode?

 

yea thats why i asked if he as any cel

 

what should i do to fix it? im all stock minus intake and exhaust

 

take along screw driver and have a buddy sit in the car and put your ear up to the screw driver while touching the injector, check each injector at idle then check each injector at differnet rpms, they should be ticking and faster at a faster rpm it you hear a gap between ticks on the rev youve got a problem

 

do you have a pic of where to put the screwdriver, do you take off the caps or no?

 

if your exhaut is shooting out black smoke it doesnt mean your running rich, usually when you run rich you smell something like rotten eggs really nasty smell, usaully its a sensor or or your ignition time is not good

 

just put it right on the injector, you can see them

 

if ur 02 sensor is out that can make you run rich

 

if your o2 is junk usaully youll be throwing a cel

 

and its be the primary one at that
